As much as Cyberpunk 2077 was the biggest failure in gaming in the past century, it was also the biggest meme, this artwork was something I made in the launch week of the game, there were so many memes and videos of the game glitches and it’s broken AI that I decided to make a compilation of the bunch and create a “Cyberbug 2077” design.

I even made a Cyberpunk 1997 version with a slightly different color palette, the trickiest thing in creating these were the fact that I had to “draw bad” to properly reflect how badly rendered some of the things were in Cyberpunk 2077 at launch.

A Baby Yoda meme. One of my masterpieces. Only a meme master can create such depth in story telling, The Child eating the frog lady’s eggs, the frog gesturing to draw him like one of your french girls, the frog lady yelling at Baby Yoda, the look of indifference on the face of Grogu, not even 5 collective brains functioning simultaneously at max capacity can create such grand Mandalorian memes.

Also just a rendition of the Woman Yelling at a Cat meme, using The Mandalorian characters, Grogu and the Frog Lady.

An overused meme, but not an overdone design, referencing the game Ghost of Tsushima and attempting to be a play of words, this Sushi Samurai design was inspired by the numerous Ghost of Sashimi memes, now you might be wondering why is titled Sushi instead of Sashimi? Because it sounds better, what i drew isn’t even Sushi, not even Sashimi, it’s Nigiri (I am not an uncultured swine).

It was also a great excuse for me to draw some Japanese food, i love eating Sushi and i couldn’t let the opportunity of drawing a piece of Sushi (technically Nigiri) as a Samurai slip away. The ghost replacing the rice was just convenient, i would have preferred making proper Ghost of Tsushima Fan Art instead of memes, but i still have to play the game (curse you console exclusives).

A reference to the game, a meme in itself, and something i created mid the COVID-19 pandemic, i wanted to make a quarantine/pandemic meme design, but knowing my inclinations and how much i like games, i was destined to create some weird stuff.

So here we have an Xenomorph self isolating during COVID-19 and watching Netflix, a WIP version of this design even featured Facehugger N95 masks (FC95 for short). I didn’t even stop there as i was going deep with the memes, had things like “the mask provides protection against COVID-19 and jumps at any humans that comes within the vicinity of the wearer” written on it, it was an invincible mask design, protects vs COVID-19 and humans, also had a bowl of alien Xenomorph eggs on the table, some might call it cannibalism, i prefer to call them snacks.

The reference to the Alien Isolation game was just convenient, here i am making some self isolation and quarantine memes, and we have a game from the Alien franchise named, literally, Alien Isolation, couldn’t be more perfect. In hindsight i should have called this Netflix and Kill, but then again the Xenomorph is isolating more than hunting.

A rough sketch i made as a meme inspired by a baby rick meme, born from a discussion with one of the redditors on how a crossover between baby yoda and the baby rick from tales from the citadel episode would look like.

Shockingly (not) this quick sketch that took me less than an hour to make was more popular than any of my Rick and Morty artworks that i spent days on, that just shows you how many degenerates and uncultured swines surf Reddit, obviously i say that as a joke, as i also use the platform a lot, it has to be said though, if you want to discuss anything meaningful there are better platforms out there, if you want to shitpost, Reddit is your home. It says a lot about me i know, i have always been a Ledditor at heart.

So yeah, long story short, it’s just a mashup of cloned Rick Sanchez as a baby and The Child Grogu (also known as Baby Yoda) from The Mandalorian, holding a cup.

Inspired by the “peace was never an option” memes and the fact that Untitled Goose Game was a “stealth” game. I decided to take the meme up a notch and have a Metal Gear Solid X Untitled Goose Game parody, the knife is straight from the game and i just added some extra touches to create the character known here as “Solid Goose”, Solid Snake’s favorite pet.

I was a little bit sad to realize i was not the first to come up with the idea at the time, but nevertheless, the Metal Goose Solid logo was not done yet at least, even if the goose wearing a bandanna and an eye patch was.

I love this Metal Goose Solid artwork because i am trying to develop a minimalist style of my own, and the entire Untitled Goose Game was based around minimalism, simply convenient i guess.

A practical rip-off of Pac-Man (or Pacman) but with a modern take, something i decided to create in the middle of quarantine here in Saudi Arabia as they started issuing curfews at night and i ended up sitting at home with no clear goal or purpose, succumbing to my own personal hell of nothingness, left to my own devices, stuck in a vicious cycle, a limbo, an inactivity that lingered for far too long in the middle of 2020 as the Pandemic dragged and the quarantine felt endless, it truly felt like Covid-19 has devoured the entire year.

Now when anybody asks me what i did or accomplished throughout that year, i am just left with emptiness and silence, even attempting to answer that questions just fills me with despair and anguish, a seriously depressing feeling, and that’s where this mashup or parody came from, a little virus devouring an entire year of our lives, it didn’t help that i had just graduated and was planning to continue my education abroad either, the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) put a stop to all of those plans and what the virus didn’t stop my resulting depression from the pandemic took care of the rest.

Long depressing story short, we have a Pac-Man (Pacman) parody, with Covid-19 as Pac-Man and the numbers of the year 2020 as the ghosts.

Another parody i made was Among Us and Pac-Man with Pacman as the impostor and the ghosts as, well, the ghosts of the crew mates after getting killed; I didn’t want to include both to avoid being redundant.

What can i say, i am a man of culture, i actually made this to submit it to a fan shop for licensing, i guess the people reviewing it didn’t find it as funny, or probably because it’s low effort, but then again, you are viewing my “meme” artworks, so it’s a given.

Obviously inspired by the 1966 Batman theme song that goes “na na na na na na na na na na na na na batman” (yes, they are repeated 13 times), i frankly enjoy the cartoon TV shows and comics more than the movies, regardless of how good some of the movies are, Hollywood never fails to be generic.

I want to create more comic styled artworks, but that requires me a lot of binge watching and research, i’ll get to it eventually but for now it’s just memes.

Referencing a meme known as “The Cooler Daniel”. Charizard vs his cooler counterpart the shiny Charizard, is an attempt of mine at being funny, i had just gotten back into collecting Pokemon cards and it was inevitable for me to come up with some stupid ideas.

The GameBoy Advance games (especially Emerald) were my favorites, and even today i play ROM hacks of them more than any of the official games, the Pokemon company and GameFreak are simply out of touch. The Pixel art hits differently and the interface is a classic, don’t fix what is not broken.

Okay getting sidetracked again, so here i am collecting again for the first time in 15 years, playing my GBA ROM hacks and realizing how much hype there is behind “shiny” pokemon. Now as a kid i don’t recall encountering shiny Pokemon, even if i did i wouldn’t remember it, i probably would have thought it was a glitch, and that is how this Pokemon meme was born, in my new enlightenment of what the hell a shiny Pokemon is and how many people like to catch them over their normal counterpart.

TL;DR it’s a Charizard artwork and a Shiny Charizard meme, using The Cooler Daniel meme as a reference.

That thing, it was too THICC to be called a sword.

I made this Berserk fan art (more like meme) after binge reading the manga from start to end, in doing so, it daunted me how many times they referenced the sword as a big chunk of iron and how hilarious that was, at first it was alright, hardly anything remarkable, but with each mention, it became funnier and funnier.

“That thing was too big to be called a sword”, can’t take that line serious anymore, it’s now a Berserk meme for me, not a Berserk reference.

Unfortunately as of writing this, the legendary Berserk author Kentaro Miura has passed away, leaving his legacy behind he will never be forgotten as an inspiration for so many people and games (Dark Souls). We might never get closure for Berserk and Guts’ story, but it will continue to be one of the greatest dark fantasies of all time.

I will make a proper Miura tribute in the future, but for now all i have is a Berserk dragon slayer sword meme.

A gamer meme more than any gamer meme in history, the prospect of wanting to play a game, but having no friends to play said games with. Illustrated with Billy wanting to play a game, followed by the shocking revelation of an empty friends list on Steam, combined with the meme of Pablo Escobar waiting alone at a park, but portrayed as Billy the Puppet (well, someone wearing his mask to be precise).

I know what you are thinking, Zody, how did you come up with such big brain level of memery, frankly, even i am shocked by my own ingenious, it is almost frightening.

Memes aside, it’s a forever alone meme using Billy the Puppet and the movie SAW as a reference, combined with the Pablo Escobar Waiting meme, of course, all of it is drawn on Procreate, as i take great pride in my meme making, i used to be good at it when i had time.

Inspired by the novel that i still have to read “do androids dream of electric sheep?” by Philip K. Dick. And well, the fact that i fail to come up with anything remotely original.

Here we have Bender from Futurama counting Mareep Pokemon while sleeping, because that’s what my mind thinks of when it reads androids and electric sheep in one sentence, a drunk robot and a sheep Pokemon. My mind has issues.

I believe i first came across this idea while researching the origin of the Cyberpunk genre, and the name of the book was uncanny enough for me to turn it into a meme, so, do androids dream of electric Mareeps? we will have to ask Bender that.
